BX2660 meets BX2200

Is there a big difference between the 2660 and the 2350?
Some would say that the property you describe is more suited to a B than a BX. As the story goes, the BX can do anything, it just takes a little longer.

To your specific question, there are some differences in there (metal fenders, nicer seat, not-so-abrupt reverse), but I don't think those things will add up to a meaningful PERFORMANCE difference. The BX machine, generally speaking, runs out of traction LONG before it runs out of power. I have not done anything that has even begun to bog down my lowly 22 HP engine...don't know why you'd need 26. Unless, of course, you have a very significant PTO load (generator or chipper, for example).

I'd sit on both and let your rear tell you which you prefer. If you don't want to make the jump to a smaller B Series machine, I'm quite certain the BX2350 would tackle 99.97% of the things you'd ever do with the BX2660.

I agree that is most cases the extra hp will not be much of an asset. I don't expect a big difference mowing but snowblowing might be easier during larger storms.
Unfortunately, break-in will occur over the winter and Kubota warns against full rpms for 50 hours.

The original BX had most everything right- the 2660 seems more fine-tuned... built-in tach, console mounted controller, more comfortable seat, curved loader arms are a + but not essential, pedal layout is improved, hydraulic couplings much more accessible...

These are the improvements I had been waiting for to buy new- the extra hp is just a bonus.

Just a comment on the BX2660. That seat is very sweet. When I pulled the trigger on my BX1850, I had the dealer check on the cost to upgrade the seat to the BX2660 version. $800 was the quote , plus some other hardware costs (brackets or something - I forget). Theoretically, the seat alone justifies the $1,000 cost difference between the BX2350 and BX2660.
