Kubota BX1850
Finally got to use my BX2750 last week, and noticed that if I raise the blower a little the plastic slip collar rubs the lift frame. I’m not lifting it much, and if I do raise it up it really becomes an issue. There are some spots on my property where I use it over the grass so I lift it slightly to not dig up the lawn. Anyone having the same type of issue?

I used to have that issue when I first got mine. I measured twice, wrapped the spot where it needed to be cut with masking tape, and trimmed back the female portion of the collar, so it doesn,t rub any more.

Same here ... seems to be SOP for the 2750.

I bought the blower setup from someone that was using it on a BX2370, and I have it on my BX1850. I installed it over the summer to check fitment and it seemed that the drive shaft was too long. I tried calling Kubota dealer to see if maybe the shaft from the 2370 was longer, and they wouldn’t give me any part number info etc. just that they had a bed shaft for it and it would be $500. Without getting rock solid info that they weren’t going to send me the same shaft I already had I started to look a little deeper. I noticed some locking collars on the lift frame that allowed me to slide the small connecting shaft forward a little to give me enough room. With that said I think that the slip collar got moved back to a more vulnerable point for rubbing. After using it last week I checked the shaft and it is way to close for comfort to the u-joint.

So... do I need to get a shorter shaft for my 1850, if so how the heck can I find the right part number? The shaft I have has a part number on it, but like I said, the dealer gives me no info just asks for my credit card number.

I,m kinda wondering if the original dealer who assembled the quik hitch did the assembly correct, or the set screws on that shaft have loosened up and allowed the shaft to shift from its original installed position.
See if you can find the Kubota manual part number 70060-02724, and have a good look at pages 9 thru 12, to verify correct assembly.
Maybe a some of the set screws came loose, and that shaft has shifted from it,s original position, or if it was initially installed incorrect.

If everything is perfect I would cut the splined shaft.....:2cents:

Some searching led me to eBay looking for pto shafts, and I found a guy selling the output shaft that fits on the quick hitch. After talking to him, he was in the same situation as me, had bought his blower from a bx23xx tractor, and the mid pto shaft didn’t fit. After searching he realized that all the parts in the Kubota driveline kit were the same except the output shaft lengths were different. I was just about to cut mine, but figured I would keep it around in case I swap tractors, or sell the blower to someone that has a bigger tractor.

Shaft will be be here today, and I will post back.

When I traded my BX1860 for a BX2370 I kept my original BX2750 and had to upgrade the QA to a longer shaft, but I don't have the part numbers. There definitely is a difference, however.

I installed the new (shorter) output shaft, and everything is perfect now!
