L4200GST w/ LA680 & BX2200D w/ LA211
My new (to me) BX2200 w/ deck n' loader also came with a front mount snowblower, a BX2750 w/ quick hitch. While the tractor, deck, and loader are in nice shape, the snowblower is a complete wreck. The auger is bent, one of the fan blades is actually bent all the way backwards, and I think the transmission is leaking at the fan shaft seal. One of the auger shafts has a good 1/16 turn of play - hopefully it's just the shear pin hole and not something the transmission - I don't know what's in there. Is there one 50" shaft that goes all the way through, or two 25" shafts that are driven with separate gears? At any rate, I want to tear the thing down far enough to get the fan out, then change the tranny seal, beat the auger and fan back into shape, fix whatever else is screwed up, then shoot a coat of paint onto it - full restore, basically.

Anyone tear one of these blowers apart before? I'm looking for any hints, direction, warnings, or comments. Thx.

The quick hitch is connected to a long 50" from the quick hitch to the PTO at the rear of the tractor. The quick hitch has a PTO that connects to the blower.

Sorry I can not help you with the rest of your ???.

If you do a search you will find several threads using an electric window motor to turn the chute. That is what I use and it works well and is easy to install and cheaper than a hydraulic motor. I picked up 4 motors on EBay for $25 and just had to replace a motor this winter after 10 years of use.

I could do that, but it seems a waste of the LR channels in the loader control not to use them. I have hydraulic controls on my big snowblower (72" Econor), and wanted to initially use a joystick control valve set for the rotator (L/R) and flapper (U/D). That chute rotator is just begging to be controlled with the loader lever...

I found a motor for $80 - don't know enough about them to know if it'll work though - if so, total cost would only be ~$100 for parts - I can live with that.

I have the electric motor from Kubota on mine and it works fine but I find it very slow when changing from one side to the other. I *think* the hydraulic motor is much faster but I've never tried it so I can't say for sure.
