Yes, I recently purchased the BxPanded Backhoe Ripper Tooth and have used it a few times now.
I also have Bro-Tek's Ripper Tooth.
Below are the differences between the two:
1) BxPanded
- 1/2 inch steel
- Serrated edges (teeth)
- Rear hook
2) Bro-Teks
- 1/3 inch steel
- 45 degree angle
- Plow can be attached to rear
I found the BxPanded's Ripper Tooth really cuts through the roots and the hook on back is handy to pull the roots out or grab the bush.
Where Bro-Tek's Ripper Tooth seems to be designed more to dig a small trench to place electrical wire in, eliminating the need to use the bucket and dig a big trench unnecessarily.
So, after experimenting with both Ripper teeth, I now use the BxPanded to cut/rip out roots and the Bro-Teks to create a small trench for wire/etc.
Hope this helps.
