In my last thread, I mentioned that I ordered the BXpanded Quick-On Work Light kit after having issues operating my BH in the dark using a cheap magnetic work light. The lights arrived in two days in perfect condition.

timswi mentioned in that same thread that he was going to look into these lights so I thought I would post some pictures of them installed for anyone that is interested. Doing a search, I didn't find any posts with pictures. The install was very easy and the spring used to clamp around the ROPS is a really slick idea. Per their website, these lights will fit on almost any tractor, not just the BX series that BXpanded mostly caters to.

You're welcome. Very easy install, as they say in the IT world, Plug and Play. You can actually have them mounted and powered up in less that a minute. For the first install, it took longer because I had to unwrap the electric tape that was hiding the two wires that power up the lights. I also took the time to mount the plastic wire holders that Harry provides that will help you keep the wires nice and neat.

Not sure yet on how well they light up the night, I was busy doing something else last night and forgot to go out and check them out. I'll do it tonight.

Thanks Dean. The light that you suggested just wouldn't stick to the ROPS like I thought it would. Maybe I didn't buy the same one you have, the magnet was very weak.

Not the best picture but the two lights lit up the area I had the tractor parked in. Three lights would light up better but two is all I need. They have the larger 6" also but I didn't need them either.

Thavil, Hi. I'm looking into the BXpanded work lights. I have a couple of their products, and know the workmanship is really nice. I was wondering a couple of things if you could take some time to reply.

Has the light output from the 4.5 inch lights been satisfactory, or would you now opt for the 6 inch? The smaller ones have a nicer profile, if the functionality is satisfactory.
Have you tried just one light forward and one aft?
Have the lights themselves held up well, over time. Can the halogen bulbs handle the rough ride of the tractor and work stress?
Could the halogen lights be easily converted to LEDs if one felt like doing the upgrade in the future?
Do you need the headlights on to turn on the work lights?

Thanks for posting on this originally. Sorry to pull up an old thread, but there are not many posts on these on TBN.
I look forward to your reply. Thanks.
