c225 fuel guage sticking

If I run my tractor till it is really low on fuel, the gauge sticks. If I remove the sending unit. It just pops loose and acts fine. It works fine until the next time. Any ideas.

Identify what the sending unit float is catching on then take out the sending unit and bend the float rod slightly to clear the obstruction.

Both times i have removed the sending unit, the motion involved freed the float before it was totally removed.

Mine sticks all the time on my CT230. I just make sure I fill the tank each time before using, and check it with a dip stick every couple of hours of use.
