Any help please? My. M7040 kubota. Is not pushing out heat in cab, has been flushed and thermostat replaced engine temp is normal blower works but only cold air.:(

air in the line.

hmmm, when you rotate the heat level dial, can you feel resistance. There should be a cable that connects from the dial to the valve directing flow of hot water thru the coil. There is also duct that controls air flow thru the exchanger.

check both hoses going in and out of the cab for heat. There could be a problem in the control but it is not normal.

Have checked both hoses going in to cab they seem cool to touch? Shouldn't one be warm?

yes, on mine one is very hot to the touch. What i dont know is what tells the lines to open and make hot water flow thru system. There must be a control valve up in your unit. In automobiles, there is a cable the directs amount of hot water flowing thru condenser coil i believe....at least thats my understanding. In this way when you go into A/C mode, the hot water doesnt flow thru unit. This cable connects to the dial that controls amount of heat

Have you checked for any blown fuses? Heat is controlled by electric servo motor. How high is temp gauge getting after 30 minutes of engine operation????

Engine gauge in the normal range, fuses under steering all good are there. Others? Control knob does not have a lot of resistance ? Will work on it again tomorrow

the control knob on most a/c heat units should have resistance as it is connected to a cable that leads to the valve allowing hot water to flow thru heater core. Im not familiar with the Kubota system, but i doubt it varies much from the average car heater in that respect.

Tunder123, I noticed on my cabbed B3030 that the temperature gauge was sticking right around the "C" (for cold) level and not moving upward. I too was getting only luke warm air and decided to pull the thermostat. Original equipment thermostat rated at 82 C (or approximately 180 degrees) did not open in a pot of boiling water until the 200 degree mark. I replaced the thermostat and the temperature gauge then crept up just above the "C". Air was slightly warmer but not hot! Now it only got luke warm here in Maryland when the outside temperature dipped down to about zero when the Arctic blast came through a couple of weeks ago. I haven't tried the tractor with the temperature in the 30's. As others have said it might be a cable issue or possibly air in the system? Did you previously have "hot" air before? New tractor?

Kubota M7040 heater is controlled electronically IE no cable.

I don't have the same tractor but my heater has a shutoff valve on the block,, You might want to follow the two lines back and see if there is on yours too ???

ah, thanks.

i figured it would be like autos. Now he can have issues with servos and electronics. I think id rather have a cable

I'm curious how is the temp on the heater controlled on your Kioti tractor??

the cable from temp control goes to valve that controls flow of hot water and unconditioned air thru unit. a dump gate design.

same as my trucks

I mentioned mice earlier in this post, because my neighbor just had an issue with the heater in his Ram 2500 pick up. The mice built a nest in his heater fan and also chewed it up. Here's a pic.

I wrote the piece on the Orange Tractor Forum dealing with the M7040 heating/AC system Take the time to look at it with the pictures. In simple terms there is a air flow management system under the driver's seat. A flap in the cab air flow is controlled by an electric motor to direct the air flow over either the heating coil or the AC coil. The temp knob controls this motor's position and hence the temp of the air delivered to the cab.
