John Deere 2305, White Field Boss 21
Hello. I'm wondering what other companies are out there that makes aftermarket cabs. I have a JD 2305 . I know of Curtis cab. Any others?

My son uses a similar JD to yours at work with an after market(Curtis) cab.He finds it noisy,hot/cold.Work purchased the cab but I know they are expensive. If you are serious;it may be better to trade for a factory cabbed tractor.

Are the doors sturdy and hinged? If I get a heater would it keep the heat in?

The doors, like the rest of the cab, are steel tube frames with vinyl covers. Everything braces together and is very rigid when installed. I've used mine two winters and it looks just like new. The hinges are pin and sleeve. The doors have just enough flex to bend and install, so they are easily removed. It is a soft cab but I find it very tight and don't notice any troublesome gaps and drafts. On my 2320 I get a surprising amount of heat off the engine. I don't have any other heater. Obviously you can't be in shirtsleeves but I've used in for extended periods of time in -10F temperatures wearing Carhartts and a stocking cap and been comfortable.

I haven't had much fogging problems. I have the glass windshield which has a plastic/ABS frame and is quite substantial. The rear window can fog if I get too close to it while snowblowing. If I keep my face a little away, no problem. I get snow on the back window sometimes but if I tap the window it usually falls off. I didn't get the windshield wiper or other options and haven't needed them. I did add front and rear LED work lights (from E-bay) and golf cart rear view mirrors.

I have a Curtis cab on my 4520. It can be hot in the summer, but both doors and windows (front and back) can be removed. My main heat source (during the summer months) isn't radiant heat from the sun, it's the hoses running to the heater. The cut off valve is in the cab (about 4-5 inches below the heater).
As far as winter, there are a number of gaps between the cab and tractor. But the heater and fan does circulate warm air quite well.
Sound proofing is only on the overhead panel and engine noise does intrude. However, I wear ear plugs or muffs, so that's not a real bother.

Of course, this tractor and cab are 10 years old with 2100 hours.

If I had to do it over, I'd have kept my 4400 and got a soft cab.
