Cabela's brand 10W-30 Synthetic oil

So changing oil, and using Cabela's brand 10W-30 Synthetic oil. It is dyed blue, so I wondered if anyone knew who actually makes the oil?

More curious than anything. Got it pretty cheap from Cabela's. I think $11.99/gal.

I not sure if you are using this for your tractor. I am not an oil expert as some of the people on the Forum, but owning and running tractors for years, I would stick with 15W40 standard oil or 0W40 Synthetic oil. I still use 15W40 standard oil in all my diesel tractors. If you want to use the Cabela oil, make sure it is rated for diesel engines, such as having the API (diesel) CJ-4 and/or CJ-4 Plus ratings on the 1 gallon jug. If it does not, I would bring it back and go to a tractor store and buy a gallon of there 15w40 oil or go to WalMart and buy the Shell 15W40 diesel rated oil.

It is heavy duty diesel engine oil for the Cabela's tractors.
10W-30 is allowed per the manual for my winter temps. Thanks for checking on the oil type though.

In summer, I will use the 15W-40.

Still wondering who actually manufacturers the oil for them.

It might say on the can. Ashland is valvoline and they make a lot of house brands.
