Cabelas Tractors . . buying or owning

Greetings,

With BassPro buying Cabelas, I sense there will be some real deals on any remaining Tractors or Implements as I assume what was sale pricing is now going to be considered as Clearance pricing.

Is there any product still available for tractors or implements?

Will existing owners be contacted about how warranty and service will be handled?

Will new product buyers have a different warranty and service situation compared to the committments Cabelas made to prior buyers?

Some Cabelas stores are having TYM dealers service/war. their tractors, and I'm sure more of that will continue...

I can't resist offering this scenario, just for discussion.

A deal this large had to have been in the works for a while. BassPro had no interest in tractors, so Cabelas had to end that endeavor. Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall!

Obviously, we will never know, but it is fun to speculate!

That's what I thought also. BassPro was mentioned many months ago but I read sevetalnarticles where reporters and analysts believed BassPro couldn't financially make it happen atvall and that Cabelas was in a better financial position. And Cabelas credit card operation is the envy of all the other outdoor franchises.

I assume the Cabela family holds a considetable piece of the business and maybe they helped to make it happen also. Just a very few short years ago CAB was a $15 stock and its been in the 40s and 50s ever since.

We don't have BasdPro around here . . do they sell substanial quantities of boats and motors like Cabelad? Do they have a substatial setvicevand repair business like Cabelas had?

What I had heard was Bass Pro only wanted to buy part of the Cabelas stores the first time. Now they would buy all the stores so Cabelas sold it.
