I happened to be in the neighborhood of one of my local Kubota/Case dealers and saw a pretty big Cadet. It's a model 7274, '96 vintage, 900 hours, 9 x 3 gear tranny, rear hydraulics, no FEL, turf tires. Dealer says the guy who owned it used to run a sprayer on a small farm, traded it in on an 85 hp JX series Case.
As it sits with the turf tires and no loader, he's asking in the mid $7k range. He's going to check into the cost of a loader and conversion to ag tires. This tractor has a 3 cyl. Mitsubishi engine, and according to this dealer, is a good series of Cadet. He is not real happy with the current mid size Cadets, but says a new line is coming with Cat engines. So what do you guys think about this deal? Decent tractor? Decent price? He has a Deere 4400 sitting next to it -- basically the same size but with hydro and loader and he's asking $16k for the Deere.
