CAL 4n1 is great
I have the CAL 4-in-1 and the TC-40D/16 LA. A few things:
1) Yes, it is VERY heavy duty...and just plain heavy. If you want to pick up a full load of dirt, you'll need a big rear counterweight. Even with filled rear tires, I always attach my 900 lb box blade. (I was going down a slight slope one day with just the grader blade/a load of dirt and was a bit surprised when my rear wheels started to come up....drop that load!).
2) If you want a toothbar, you must order the CAL toothbar, as the lip profile is unique. (the Woods toothbar does NOT fit). I spent $30 on a new drill bit that is now very dull after drilling the two holes!
3) It uses the ATI quicktach, so you need to buy that too. But that is great because you can use other modern skidsteer attachments. I have the Rooter bucket and a sifting bucket on order.
4) My NH dealer (Klem's in Spencer, MA) did a great job of mounting the solenoid switchbox and thumb control on the inside of the joystick.
5) It is easy to take it off (quicktach and two hydraulic quick attach) but harder to put on because of the pressure on the hydraulic lines. Unlike the curl/boom, you can't release the pressure using the joystick on the "clamping" lines because the thumb control is electrical. So you have to wait 10 minutes or so before attempting to reattach the lines.
6) If you are interested in the Snowblower (with hydraulic spout), be sure they run the hydraulics to the same circuit as the "clamping" (instead of to the rear). It is really great to be able to control the lift, rotation, and spout from the joystick. Like a video game.
I fully recommend the CAL bucket. It is a beast. The "clamping" cylinders are very powerful...it is easy to grab a very full load of dirt or brush. Even cuts 3" or so limbs if you are so inclined.
