California thanks for the info on the side frame bearing.I bought this tiller at the end of last month from a dealer.I only used it about 1HR.and is a refurbished unit.After looking at the location of the bearing and you commented on replacing it and decided to check to see if it has been.That will be a No. It's definitly not dark colored grease and yes that is water from the cap being 1/4 full pic2.I believe That I won't make any further comments at the moment I feel I may post something I may regret later.No wait at least one DAM!!!

He's an experienced dealer and has seen it all. I repeated what he posted when I asked the same questions.

The dealers on here are the backbone, the source for most of the firsthand knowledge. The rest of us learn by breaking stuff because we didn't ask the experts.

most of the referb. stuff isn't totaly refurbished. Only most things that are broken or don't work or bad parts that they notice are rebuilt/ replaced. INMO ,If they were to referb. the entire unit . They would be to expensive to purchase
