I've been asked several times about the Yanmar/Kubota backhoe on my YM240.
This was a US-made backhoe originally sold by both Yanmar and Kubota dealers in the late 70's with their own trademarks painted on. Mine has Kubota colors, but I have some photos of the same thing in Yanmar lime green sold with the YM240 (US version YM2000.) I paid $2500 for mine in good working condition.
Here's one in Yanmar colors. The photo is from an old ebay ad.
That photo is in a thread showing a project where I'm using my backhoe to pull berry bush runners out of old trees down in the back of my orchard.
One of the three photos showing mine that I put in this thread:
Here's the thread where I described finding it, and asked if anyone had ever heard of this model backhoe. The thread includes this photo I made after I got it home and put it to use pulling stumps in my orchard.
Post with a photo showing how I used a siphon to replace the hydraulic fluid before installing the backhoe.
Another thread where I asked all the dumb newbie questions before choosing to buy this model backhoe. Here's a photo from that thread, taken the day I brought it home:
One more picture that I have posted elsewhere:
That's all the time I have now to look for my old photos. I'll add to this thread later when I have time.
