My plan is to put a bungee cord around my seat and hook it down to the rear of the tractor and stand up using my rear snowblower this winter. One hand on the wheel and one hand on the ROPS standing on the clutch side of the cockpit. Gear tractor. (i think it will save on my neck)

That's my plan and I'm sticking to it.

Put your siren on and blast away.!!......(boy, am I in trouble now)

If I could afford it I would send him the 99 dollar wireless rear view camera from
JC whitney, and a suicide knob for the bottom of the steering wheel

Dont even start wit the safety police, I had my 3 point forks on my 79 3000 Yanmar picking up limb piles. I had Dads Pasquali out by the road for sale and this man and woman stopped by to look at the Pasquali. I was imedialty jumped on by him and she was trying to bring it up TBN on her phone. They were gull time lurkers. I told them I was a member so save it. Igrew up on tractors with out ROPS and belts and Im not aboutt o wear out a strted getting on and of the the tractor. Well needless to say they didnt stay to see the Pasquali. Sorry I didnt get yalls name full time TBN lurkers on CR 181 Iuka.

Your I dea sounds good, Tractors need seats likea skidder or D8R. with the seat at 45 degrees off center so looking back wasnt bad. I know a farmer that had a big JD that had a home built loader over the rear of the tractor. It was huge and he loaded silage out of the pit and in winter hi 2wd tractor couldnt load th tall trailer with his loader and in the mud was hard on the tractor. He built the big homemade loader and faced it rear of the tractor. He put a feed sack in the seat and on the side of the engine in a cultivator mound bloded a tube frame and up to a seat beside the tractor clutch so he could run the tractor mail carrier style.

My Massey 180 has an adjustable steering wheel and a seat that pivots out of the way so you can operate standing. Dfferent era , different way of thinking I quess.

I agree safety should always be a concern, but also believe a machine can be operated safely outside the guidelines in the Operators Manual. I guess it is up to each of us to determine how to operate our own equipment and accept that operating a tractor can be dangerous. We recently had a death here in which an operator was found underneath his rotary cutter. The tractor did not turn over and he had been operating tractors doing maintenance for over thirty years.

I don't lecture, or try not to, on how someone else operates their equipment.
