Call to all for suggestions on Used tractor.

I'm looking for a Tractor in the 30 HP range with the following attributes:

It needs to have a FEL with about 1000 pound lift.
It needs to be 4WD.
It needs to have Power steering.
Needs to be shuttle shift or better I.E. Hydro
and it need to not be more then 10 years old.

The only provision is I DO NOT want a Chinese tractor....not new...not used.
Japanese tractors such as Yanmar, zen-noh are OK.

Here is the last kickerI only want to spend 10,000.00 or less.

Can it be done?
Suggestions are appreciated.

30HP + shuttle shift + 4WD + power steering + FEL + less than 10 years old + $10K or less + no Chinese iron-------- may not compute.

Grey market tractors like Yanmar, Iseki, etc. are more than 10 years old.

IIRC, the last Yanmar built for the U.S. market was in 1989, which is also out of your age range.

The closest Yanmar that meets your specs is a 1989 YM336-4, a tractor with 27HP at the PTO, around 30HP engine, power steering and 4WD. The price for one of these with average engine hours is $7070 and for a high-hour unit $6690. You could add an FEL, like a Koyker, for about $3K and still be within your $$$ pain threshold. HOWEVER, lotsa luck trying to fine one of these on the market now.

You probably can find a used 30 HP U.S. brand tractor for $10K that's less than 10 years old, but adding the FEL requirement and the tractor goodies will run the total up to at least the $12K range.

For example, last year my neighbor bought a used 1996 NH 3010 (42HP at the PTO) w/o FEL for $11K.

Unless you find a great deal, getting all you are asking for for less than 10K will be tough. As you are working with 3 acres, you might be able to meet your goals by modifying the hp requirement. 3 acres should be easily handled by a 18-25 hp machine. That would open up possibilities.

This is actually for a friend. I already have an 8N with a brush hog for my 3 Acres. I was just trying to narrow it down a bit for him and try to compile a good list of models to look for. I suggested opening the age up a bit and he may find something then. Maybe I'll edit the original post to go to 20 years just to give him the options.

If he doesn't need 4wd, it'll be a lot cheaper due to lack of popularity. Check E-bay, but watch for the scammers who seem to make about every 4th post there.

You might be able to find something like what your looking for, but your gonna have to do some lookin /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I bought my Massey MF 1040 FWD 32hp deisel over two years ago for $6000 with about 1300 hrs on it. It also had a 6ft fel. I have since added a 5ft rotary mower and 6ft grader blade. Take your time and research whats out there.

Might want to raise the $$$ limit up a couple thousand dollars for that setup on a tractor that is less than 10 years old. What I would do is increase the age to 15 or 20 years...in my eyes, a 20 year old tractor (1985) could still have a **** of a lot of life left in it, especially if you could find a shed kept, low hour unit...note that finding one like I'm talking about is not probable though possible.
