Callout to M59 owners with Top-n-Tilt Kit

I'm looking to confirm some specs on your top-n-tilt kits.

Are you using a 2.5" cylinder with 10 inch stroke on the top link?

What's the stroke and bore size on the tilt cylinder?

FYI I'm looking at the PrincessAuto catalog and found this top link for $199

I just did. He recommends 12 inch stroke on the top link. $1100 for the complete kit and 20 week lead time.

Yep, that sounds like a huge price difference until you break it down into one simple cylinder vs a complete set of fitted cylinders & hoses from Fit Rite.

For the top link cylinder alone the Princess Auto is $200 and AgriSupply.com has it for $150. Fit Rite has what looks to be the same cylinder for $300 - although he recommends a bigger diameter cylinder shaft for Cat. II 3pt like the M59 has & he sells that one for $330.

Princess and AgriSupply rate theirs at 3000 psi.. That's OK for the typical tractor hydraulic system pressure, but the top link is one place I'd like a higher psi rating to handle the compressive forces you get on the 3pt top link when hitting a rock or stump. Maybe thats where the Fit Rite costs more...., but if so he doesn't say so.

And I bet that it looks just like the one I have pictured. and has a lifetime warranty just like mine. :thumbsup:

Most hydraulic stuff is actually built to handle 3-4 times it's actual advertised rating just for those surge spikes.

That $1071 actual cost also includes the shipping costs from California to Canada. The complete T&T set is $970. It is built specifically to fit his M59. These are not generic cylinders one size fits all. In fact what the M59 takes is a cat 1-2 top link from an MX series and the side link for an L4701 or earlier equivalent.

Generic works for some, and I see it all the time where people are willing to compromise.
