I made something like that years ago. I used two of the Union 76 antenna balls and two speaker magnets. Still works, but I had to put tennis balls in place of the antenna balls. Styrofoam apparently doesn't like UV.

I think a magnetically attached camera, wirelees is the only finite solution.
I am thinking the Agri cameras company.
Anyone have experience with them!
I am gonna go wireless and a battery operated camera as I don’t want to drill a bunch of holes in my cab.
