Can a Kubota L3301 run a 6 foot Land Pride rotary cutter?

I ran a 5' rotary & a 7' flail behind my L3200. The flail forced me to go slower, but did fine. Generally thick heavy grass takes more HP than weeds or even brush. HP wise, you can do it easily if you go slow or do only a partial pass. Weight wise I bet you could lift a 6', but it will work your machine harder. Worst case, you could just not hitch the toplink & always leave the tail wheel on the ground

Let us know how you like the 6FT. I ran a 5FT on my L3901 and it worked great. That tractor was pretty light and it seemed to me it might’ve felt like the tail wagging the dog with a 6FT.

OP take a look on Woods sight for HP recommendations.

I know people run a 6ft and that's fine but I think it's to big for you're tractor.

I said earlier I used a 5ft on 45HP tractor and was able to use the whole 5ft cutting whatever I wanted. I don't see the point in having to cut less material because the mower in to big, heavy and to long.. Makes no sense to me.. I'm just trying give you first hand information so you don't make a decent sized money purchase without getting the input you need..

It makes no difference to me what someone buys, but if you look at HP specs and the weight of a 6ft rotary cutter something has to give.. I think the 5ft hog will be matched about right to you're L3301.. JMO.. Your dealer has it right..
