I had been using Bifen over the years but now it seems there are many more products on the market.
Some require a pesticide applicator license, so I'm assuming they may be more powerful.
Even Bifen now says on the label it requires a license, although I didn't need one a few years ago if I recall correctly.
I'm just trying to treat around my sheds, but that's probably 500 lineal feet or more of perimeter. And Bifen's recommended application rate is 4 ounces per 10 linear foot. Thus for Bifen I'm looking at using 200 ounces if I do all my sheds. That's a little less than 2 gallons and cost about $100 if I do it myself.

For comparison they charged about $1000 for my house in Virginia, about 200 lineal feet, took the guy about 3 hours to trench and pour. But we are hoping to sell the house in a few years and up to date pesticide treatment by a nation wide firm is a selling point. (Plus a documented record by the same firm of no termites for 40 years of termite inspections.)

Oh, and getting that darn pesticide applicator license took me a good 2 hours online and $20.
