Hi all, I bought a b7200 with a fel and (frame mounted) backhoe to clear an overgrown pasture of saplings and prickers. Now that the clearing is done I'd like to keep it mowed with a mid mount mower (lot's of boulders and mature trees to navigate around). Here's my question(s): Does the b7200d model accept a belly mower, does it get power from the rear pto? Is there another pto that I haven't found yet? If the b7200d ordinarily would accept a mid mount mower, does the fact that the back hoe was/is frame mounted interfere with attaching a mmm? Does the hoe frame mount remove with the hoe when unattaching the hoe? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I've gotten underneath the tractor but I just don't know enough to know what to look for /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Thanks from the novice!

RD, I looked through an old B7200 brochure that I have and it shows both a rear PTO and a mid PTO. The mid (or front PTO) is located just below the seat in front of the rear tires. I believe that you will NOT be able to use a belly mower with the frame mounted backhoe. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Here are a couple links where you can download pdf's of the manual for your tractor. You will need Adobe Acrobat reader.
If it is hydrostatic use this link: B7200HSD
If it is a gear tranny use this one: B7200DT
If it is hydro, then there is a mid pto on the front of the rear axle housing and you will see a control for the speed to the left of the seat. If it is a geared tranny, you will need to get a front pto kit which gets its power from the pulley on the front of the engine. The manual will show exactly what you need.

Thanks for the replies. I went out and crawled under the tractor and still couldn't make out much underneath. The frame mount for the backhoe obstructed much of the undercarriage. Anyhow, the placard with the model #, serial # etc. read "2 PTO" so I'm assuming there's a 2nd PTO. I've got a little more backhoe work and then I'll take off the hoe (might be back here for a little advice on that). From my inspection underneath, it looks like the entire frame mount removes which should bring the tractor back to its "stock" config and allow room/clearance for a belly mower.

Again, thanks for the responses and link to the manual.

It's like my B8200. The front PTO is most likely covered. Mine has the front PTO, but has a cover to keep it clean and safe.

Woods used to make one, we have had two B7200 though here that had one on. It ran off something other than the mid PTO if I remeber correctly.

I just sold my 7200DT and it had a 60" belly mower (Kubota mower deck). It ran off of a PTO that was run by belts on the front of the tractor. To engage the PTO, there was a cable assembly that went up the side and hooked to the left side of the tractor.

Now for the down side. I wanted a FEL for it but the mower deck used the same holes that were needed for the FEL. I sold it and bought the 7800 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
