...not all the oil, just the filter? I just added a valve, a bunch of hose, two new (old) cylinders, etc. I think it'd be a good idea to change the filter after a few more hours of operation, but obviously the oil is still in good shape. What happens if I swap the filter, how much oil comes gushing out there? BTW, this is a HST tractor, in case that matters to the answer. Thanks!

I put a big dent in the side of my filter on my 4100 so decided just to change the filter. The oil comes gushing out so it depends on how quick you can get the new filter up there and screwed on. Naturally, when I was trying to hurry and the oil was pouring out I couldn't get the threads to start on the new filter so I ended up loosing most of the oil by the time I got the new one on.
