OK, I'm curious - Mark: what does Everlast have that's comparable?

For about $50-100 more you can get a PowerMTS211si. It's an inverter machine instead of transformer, has higher duty cycle and more amps, and comes equipped to do tig with HF start, and stick.

I've done a few welds with the one I recently bought. I'm far from expert but it's nicer to use than my old Lincoln.

My wife got me one for Christmas, I’d written off a Hobart mig because the price. There’s a local roofing company that buys them new every year and if they don’t use them they sell them at the end of the year for tax write off. So we got the 210 mvp for $700 new in the box. Can’t wait to fire it up!

Once you start Mig welding... You won稚 touch anything else..

Sorry Can't agree with that, have had a 240v mig for over 30 years and while it is a great all around welder especially for steel 1/4 and under,

Once I got a a dc tig and then an AC/DC Tig/stick they all have their place

There are a couple repairs that I migged ( spindle repair on a riding mower that the spindles were no longer available,)
I would do my best cleaning and migging up the spindle blade mount always got about 1/2 season before the welds would break.
Decided to switch to TIG and it has been at least 3 years and no sign of failure. Just seems to have provided a better stronger weld.

Aluminum welding comes up from time to time and It is nice having a big dinosaur 300 amp tig that can weld up a broken casting when needed to an aluminum shovel, I did try the mig on aluminum and it works OK and is much faster so there is that.

Having the stick welders is nice to , just used stick weld up a broken ear on a cast iron engine block. If I need to weld a 1/2 inch implement using stick it can be done with plenty of power and heat.
Seem to be able to find a stick rod for most anything as well as tig rod.

I do agree for most quick repairs on steel that isn't to thick, Will grab the mig 1st.

Also- Congrats on the new 210 MVP Glad it is working great for you

Another vote for the 210 Hobart MVP. I don’t think I’ve used it on 110v but it’s a crazy solid 220v machine. I have it on a cart and it never leaves the shop so no need for an inverter machine.
