Once you start Mig welding... You won稚 touch anything else..
Sorry Can't agree with that, have had a 240v mig for over 30 years and while it is a great all around welder especially for steel 1/4 and under,
Once I got a a dc tig and then an AC/DC Tig/stick they all have their place
There are a couple repairs that I migged ( spindle repair on a riding mower that the spindles were no longer available,)
I would do my best cleaning and migging up the spindle blade mount always got about 1/2 season before the welds would break.
Decided to switch to TIG and it has been at least 3 years and no sign of failure. Just seems to have provided a better stronger weld.
Aluminum welding comes up from time to time and It is nice having a big dinosaur 300 amp tig that can weld up a broken casting when needed to an aluminum shovel, I did try the mig on aluminum and it works OK and is much faster so there is that.
Having the stick welders is nice to , just used stick weld up a broken ear on a cast iron engine block. If I need to weld a 1/2 inch implement using stick it can be done with plenty of power and heat.
Seem to be able to find a stick rod for most anything as well as tig rod.
I do agree for most quick repairs on steel that isn't to thick, Will grab the mig 1st.
Also- Congrats on the new 210 MVP Glad it is working great for you
