I have a TC45DA that has been sitting for 2 years. It has a seal leak and coolant was draining into the motor. I went to start it up to load onto a trailer to get repaired finally and I get nothing on the dashboard. I have a jump pack hooked up and I can only get the hazards to work. If I turn the key nothing lights up can't get headlights, radio, nothing, no instrumentation. If I release the parking brake I get the beeping sound that its not set. Any ideas where I should start looking? I checked the 50amp fuse on the left hand side of the engine block and checked the individual fuses at the base of the steering wheel. That is all I've gone through so far.

Check the ignition switch. We had to replace many on ours with same symptoms when we had it.

what’s the voltage with the jump pack hooked up? battery may be beyond life....

if it were me, maybe just temporarily use your car battery to see if it will start. May (hopefully) save you alot if work.

I had the jump pack hooked directly to the cables and eliminated the battery. The dashboard and almost everything is dead. Lights should come on regardless so there must be a break in the power lead somewhere.

If a jumper battery/jumper cable is connected wrong a battery can explode. Your jumper pack probably tests for correct battery connection before providing boosting power. Since you eliminated the battery it may not provide power.

Is it realistic to think a booster 6x - 8x smaller than factory battery can actually replace factory battery???

i still suggest throwing a known good battery on it to check it out; may save you alot of hassle/headache

Its been awhile since we had ours but doesn't the key switch control all the power to the headlights also?
