Can One still fix up and use a old 2 wheeler?

Can I still find good arts for old simplicity or gravely or any of the old two wheel tractors? Or is it very hard and a lengthy process?

I have plans to buy and spread some gravel in my drive way this summer and was thinking a two wheel tractor with a blade would sure be a blessing, but am I looking at a great deal of work just to get one I can actually use?

Time and money is about all it takes.

I would stick with snow removable vs. pushing gravel too.

A good dump truck driver is going to spread the gravel for you pretty well. It's not so easy to spread gravel with a walk behind or even the smaller Cub Cadet/John Deere/etc garden tractors compared to a box blade on a full size tractor.

Best bet is to locate someone with a tractor and box blade who will finish the gravel for you.

If you want a 2 wheeler to play with, then parts are still available for the gravely's, especially the ones with kohler engines.

You can "fix up" and use about anything,, like someone else said,, just takes time and money to do it. I would keep in mind that for any kind of ground engaging activity, you will not displace or move weight that exceeds the weight of the machine in one pass, so a 2 wheel machine will do about anything, it might take quite awhile to do it though.

I have two walkers, both get used alot in all seasons and they are usually my tool of choice for mowing smaller areas and snow removal,,,, just depends on how big of tasks and the time you have to devote to em. But yes there are plenty of machines available and many still have parts available. Just need the desire to walk for the most part.
