Can U Put Hydraulic Lift on a 2145

I'm thinking of buying a used Cub Cadet 2145 with mower deck and snowthrower, it has manual lift for the attachments, what I would like to know is there anyway possible that u can put a Hydraulic lift unit on the tractor for the attachments? Any info anyone can give me on this question is much appreciated. Thanks

I don't think you can. Even if you could, it would probably be $$$. For the money you would spend on adapting the 2145, you could get into the next Cub series up, 3000 series. It comes with hydraulics, so your can get hydraulic lift already built in. Good luck!

you still have to ad the lines on the 3000 series. i dont really see why hydraulic lift to the 2000 series. youd just have to run lines for the valves then figure out a way to mount a ram to the blower lift. thats if the hydraulic pump is strong enough, which i dont see why it wouldnt be

The reason I wanted to know about putting a Hydraulic lift on is mainly for the blower; I had a Bolens that had a Manual lift for the blower and was very diffcult to raise up and down in the winter time once snow got stuck on the blower let alone the weight of the blower itself. Or do the blowers on these units pick up manually pretty easily? I know on the Bolens I couldn't use just one arm after a short while of blowing snow, had to use both my arms to lift it up and latch it into place before backing up, does the Cub Cadet 2145 have that same kind of problem with their snowblowers? Or is it much easier to lift them? Thanks for your reply.

a problem i have with my 3000 series is the cost of the blower and quickhitch thats required. to have a new plow mounted your looking 2500$ total. more for a blower. you can get them used, but i havent seen too many. i love my 3000, but the cost of implements is quite prohibitive.

don't know where you're located, or what you're budget is, 2 important issues.
I've owned several 2000 series with blades and blowers. Good machines, I can imagine if the blower gets clogged with heavy snow it would require some effort to lift. Don't usually get a lot a snow in the Detroit area.
The 3000 blower is pretty heavy duty and will MOVE some snow.
Since you're looking for used units, you should be able to find a good used 3000 series w/blower for under 4K, maybe even under 3K. I've seen a few around here. Also Ebay has a whole hitch/blower setup for a 3000 series, auction started at 400. The deals are out there, just gotta look......Good luck!
