Howdy folks,

A bit of brain teaser here, do you have any idea what the picture below is?
I wondered who picks it up first. I might add a bit of clue if needed:D:D

Bingo jay,:):) Hole in one!!

I'm very impressed indeed.:) You must have been there!! IF I took a plumb bob from the tip of the Eiffel tower down would be where i snapped the photo. it is normal magnification of my camera and took it as wide angel as I could. I was there last couple of weeks. it is an impressive structure.

Wow! I even suprised myself! No, I've never been there but always admired the structure. I based my answer on the side (edges) of your photo which showed the angles and detailed "artwork" of the subject. I have to admit that's a great photo. Very detailed. Where you lying down when you took it or did you have a tripod?

Jay,

I stood up in the middle, looked up to the apex of the structure and snapped the photo without a tripod. There were plenty of light that I could freeze the action and not get a fuzzy picture. There are elevators on all four legs of the structure to go up further and in addition to that stairs to get you up there. I had two wait a couple of hours to get on so I opted out. There are so much interesting architecture and many beautiful old buildings along the seine river that is just unbelievable.

That brought back memories. I haven't been to Paris in many a long year. When we lived in London it was an hours flight away so we used to nip over for the week-end quite often. It's a beautiful, beautiful city.

JC, great pictures. Thanks for posting.

Will you please tell us what camera equipment you used?

The pictures were taken by a lowly 3.2 meg , Sony DSC-75 camera. It is an old but great point and shoot camera that has a very good Carl Zeiss lens. It is very easy to use it as a point and shoot with full manual control on everything. it's CCD is amongst the best and does have a great macro. For more serious stuff I like my Nikon D-60 , DSLR camera that is totally awesome amongst many other great cameras. All pics were snapped in automatic mode but I exposure compensated them as needed.
