Anybody know a good online source for mower tires in Canada? Im trying to find a (cheaper) source for some Carlisle WT300's for the ZD

I found a couple out of the states who are selling the Wt300's cheap enough, at round $95USD ea, but shipping to Canada is a killer and will add well over $130 to the cost, plus the exchange.

Locally the tire shops are wanting $180CAD ea. Id love to find some place that is closer to what the guys in the states are paying. Ive been unable to find a online tire supply for skid steer or mower tires here in Canada, where there are 100's in the states:mad: I did find a couple Canadian sources, but they were only ATV tires.

Im trying to swap out the Turd masters on the ZD for something more aggressive and the WT's seem to be working out very well according to several threads on TBN. This is about the 3rd time this section of lawn has bit me on the ZD. Its "only" about 20* but the ZD is heavy and the stock tires do nothing, even when the grass is dry. Only a matter of time before I slide off into the tall grass area in the background where the bank drops away much steeper which would result in a bad time being had by all:eek: It doesnt look bad in the pic, but its pretty pucker factor inducing when you have both wheels locked on (brake) and the deck is spinning and youre just along for the ride. This time I was stopped by a survey stake (marked by that dead stick). There is nothing else in the area really to stop you. Its not so much that it will roll over (it could, I suppose) but that the rocks and other crap in the deep grass will damage the deck.

I wouldn't spend the money on those tires. They are going to have less traction on grass than the tires you have now.

I dont think having less traction would be possible;)

There are several recent threads where the WT300's are mentioned specifically, this is one recent one : http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-lawn-garden/355202-ecstatic-purchase-zd326h-72-deck-2.html

Comments like these from a couple different members make me think there will be a pretty substantial improvement in hill performance?

"Yes the WT300s made it a completely different machine on steep slopes. " http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...e-zd326h-72-deck-post4445223.html#post4445223

"I ended up having the Carlisle WT300s mounted and love them. The hill I have to cut I can only go up and back down but the WT300s get the mower up much better. On the lawn they actually do less damage as they grip better and let the mower turn instead of spinning a tire." http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...e-zd326h-72-deck-post4453307.html#post4453307

Ok I can go with that. The tires must have a fairly soft rubber.
