Kioti DK40se with cab
I am thinking of ordering a set of rear chains for my DK40se. I want a set of 2 link ladder style as I travel paved roads often. I have R4 tires on my tractor and traction is poor. I slid off the gravel road last year while blowing the drive to the cottage. It was costly to get pulled out.

CanadianChains.ca have Double Duty 2 Link Ladder chains and their price includes shipping.

Have any of my fellows Canucks ordered chains from them and how was the experience.

Ordering chains from the US is costly due to shipping and brokerage charges.

Thanks

Well I can only tell you 1 thing, they don't answer emails. I tried to contact twice, once using their contact form on the website, once by email; and I never received any answer. It doesn't mean they don't ship orders but I'd try to at least contact them before ordering..

Anyway it's too bad for them, turns out I won't need chains; it was going to be my first winter with the tractor and I thought I would need them.. But in a way they saved me money so it's not all that bad

Try Walco Equipment. The chains for the rear of our 1635 were under $250. Have not even had them out of the box yet though...

I would order them from tirechainsusa.com. They ship to canada and they are over half the price of these guys. Im looking at ordering a set but i want to find a few others locally that want to buy chains so i can split the shipping with them as i think it pays if you have a bigger order.

I had good luck contacting them and getting advice. They buy their chains from Quality Chain, a US company with an office in Surrey.

Canadianchains.ca was one of the few sites I could find that listed the 43x16-20 tires for my DK35. I ended up buying locally from Western Equipment who made the same chains (DUO239) from bulk stock.

It's a complex story, but in the meantime they have changed the chains for my tires from DUO239 to DUO242. And DUO242 would have been better, but I got the information too late.

Quality Chain has a new catalogue date October 1, 2011 which the CanadianChains fellow (Steve) sent to me. When I looked a couple of weeks ago the Quality Chain website still had the old March 2011 catalogue.
