Canopy/head protection

I was cleaning out the horse pens the other day and bumped a tree with the FEL in wich that bump made a bump on my head from a limb that fell out of that tree. So I said to myself no more. I had some 90s off a hand rail and some pipe so this is what I came up with.

I wasnt sure on the size of normal canopies but had enough material for a 4 footer. I had some trailer spring plates and used them for the bolt on brackets.

Test fit. Got lucky I guess.

Got the expanded mtl on last night and it realy got heavy. now I just need to figure out what color to paint it??

Looks good. Ever thought of using aluminum to plate the top (rivet) insteat of the expanded - that way it will shade and protect you for the same if not less weight! Looks great though!

Rocker it was your hood guard that gave me the idea for the expanded metal. I have an old golf cart top that will fit it but I want to be able to see through it.
