I remember 2 or more years ago seeing an attacment for a tractor that held 5 or 6 logs about 10 foot long. It was some how slotted or something that let you cut the logs to firewood length with a chain saw. Do any of you folks know what I am talking about?

Thanks JJ, but I still want to findthat attachment. I got the impression it wasn't made by a big company. Anyone's help is appreciated.

What lengths do you cut your firewood? And what is the largest log (diameter) you want it to hold?

I've made various jigs to do the firewood log bucking over the years, but usually end up piling the logs with logs even (flush) on one end. Then measure out (a bar length is a good measure for me) the first log, and cut all of the logs at those same lengths. The bottom logs get a half-through cut, roll a half turn and finish the cut.
Do this bucking on a downhill slope to roll the blocks to the wood splitter that has a pallet for stacking on the far side. Forks to stack the pallets.
