Can't get the flywheel off

I need to replace the stator in my Deere L118 but I can't get the flywheel off.
I got the nut that holds the flywheel down off with an impact gun, I have used a ton of PB Blaster around the key and the screw where it is mounted, and I have taken a hammer and banged it with a hammer hoping that the shock would help loosen it up- but it won't budge. My son and I are both trying Ito pry it up with us on opposite sides.
Suggestions? Somehow attach a puller?

I would attach a puller. There are probably a couple of bolt holes on the flywheel to attach it to. If the puller alone wont break it free, keep tension on the flywheel with the puller and tap the it again with the hammer and see if that wont do the trick.

It sure would help if you had posted the engine model number. Pounding on the flywheel may cause the magnets inside to come lose OR loose their magnetism. Prying may crack the top of the engine block if you get between the re-enforcing webbing. Kernopelli has the right idea. IF it is a B&S, it will have threaded pulling holes in the flywheel. A B&S puller is inexpensive OR you can easily make your own by drilling a couple of holes in flat bar stock.

Update, a very late update ... all good now, running like a champ.
I used my old harmonic balancer puller and it went well.
I always appreciate those chiming in with ideas. Thanks!
