Can't grease roller bearing on Alamo flail.

O.K., I have a Alamo SH88 flail mower I bought at an equipment auction last year. The rear roller was a little stiff so I bought new bearings and housings (Flailmaster cat # M-703976). On one of them, I just cannot get any grease into it at all. With the bearing out, I can shoot it in there easily, but with the bearing in place: no way. I can't find any difference between the 2 sides and why one would work and not the other. Any thoughts? Am I not putting the bearing back in the housing correctly (it drops in vertical then you roll it flat)?

Does the grease make it from the zerk into the bearing housing when the bearing isn’t installed?

is the zerk passage in the housing open? some housings have a ring cut in them under the zerk, and the hole in the bearing needs to aligned with that ring,

I got it. Finally. Theres a little dimple on the outer raceway that needs to be lined up with the zerk, which means it had to be put in, what I thought was backwards.
