Can\'t Remove My Loader
Bought an LA402 front loader for my B2710. Dealer installed on May 16, 2002. I can't remove it because the hole on the left stand does not align with the bottom pin. It looks like the pin was welded in out of line. I don't believe I could have hit anything that would have bent the pin. The pin is still solidly welded and there was not a scratch on the orange paint on the pin until I tried to force the stand on it. It is Saturday and I can't contact the dealer until Monday. How can this be fixed? I assume either bore out the hole in the stand so that it will fit over the pin, or remove the pin and reweld it at the correct right angle. I am a newbie and not mechanically inclined. I have read on this board and in the manual how important it is to remove the loader on flat ground or concrete. Could drilling out the hole a small fraction of an inch to compensate for the out of line pin make it more difficult to reattach the loader as if it was sitting on uneven ground. I am sure the dealer will fix this but I don't want him the take the easy solution if it will not be best for me. What do you think?
