Massey Ferguson 135
Recently acquired a Massey Ferguson 135, and had no problems for the first few days, but now I am having problems cranking. It is a gas engine model, and when I turn the key, absolutely nothing happens. It has been suggested to me that this might be a neutral safety switch problem, but in looking over the tractor, I have found the neutral safety switch, but I cannot find any wires that should be attached to it.

Keep us posted. I'm half considering another tractor and was looking at a gas driven MF.

G'day and :welcome: look in behind the dash the two wires should be there unless someone has wired it up direct from the key switch to the starter, that will be the only safety you have on that old girl so good to have it working again. Have you checked to see if you have any power to the small wire on the starter solenoid when you are trying to start? If not then check at the back of the switch to see if you have power there.

It could be the neutral safety switch.

It could also be time for a new battery, or you may have loose battery clamps or dirty battery clamps on the INSIDE.

It only take a drop of 2/10's to 3/10's of one volt on a twelve volt system to disrupt starting.

If tractor jump starts from a car/truck with no problem your problem is battery related.
