Hey there,
I just bought this model 2 months ago, rode it 3 times and the 4th time this weekend, there was a huge crunch sound and when I looked back I saw 2 pieces of rubber on the floor. I checked under the deck to and looked at the parts listing to confirm what it was and they describe it as the "Cap Revolution Bottom" - really just the cap that sits under the two mower blades. That one, the right side one, is split in two. The other, under the driver's seat, is being held by one side, but just barely. I definitely didn't hit anything that would have caused it to come off. My dealer installed a mulching extension/addition to it, so I'm wondering if that affected it anyway.
Before I go to my dealer, is this something that happens normally? Can I use the mower without these? I ended up finishing the rest of my cut without knowing what the piece was without a problem. Total acreage is about 1 acre, there was about .30 left when I finished up. Is there danger of the blade coming off, or is it just for protection?
thanks!
