Capability of Ventral 3000 with 52" RC deck

Does anyone here have experience with the Ventrac 3000s machine? I'm most interested to know how well the rough cut deck handles brush - multi-flora rose in particular. Will attachments for the 4000s series (and Steiners) work with this machine? Anyone on here with the 3000 have opinions they're willing to share, pros/cons?

No experience with the 3000s,they just aren't as popular and the powered attachments do not interchange .I had Steiners before my 4200 ventrac so interchangeability and horsepower were important,a 3000 has neither,although I wouldn't hesitate to buy a 3200 for the right price if attachments weren't as issue,

Thanks for your response and thanks for alerting me that the implements are not interchangeable. I wasn't really looking for a 3000 series but one came up for sale and I was wondering if it might be a good fit. It's not very close to me and, although the price might be fair to good, ($4700 with rough-cut mower about 900 hours), I'd really prefer to get one that will work with the more common implements. I have a dealer near me that will rent attachments. I should call him to see what attachments he carries. But even from browsing used, it looks like the 4000 series and Steiner units are far more popular.

Any though on how much, what age/hours machine I can find for $4000. If that's all I can come up with is it worth it or should I just wait?

If you can find 3000 series attachments,especially a rental yard with them, ,I wouldn't hesitate to buy one,many people prefer the seating position of the 3000s. I have 22 acres and wanted a 72 inch deck and 30 plus hp,and all my steiner attachments to work.Your not going to buy much in a steiner or ventrac for 4000 dollars. I'd give that 3000 a look if it fits your needs the price isn't bad depending on condition and hours.

Thanks for the comments. I'll check with the local rental yard to see what attachments they rent. If this machine were closer I'd definitely go have a look. It's a few hours away so I'll wait to see what the rental yard provides before taking any long drives.
