Is it ok to add carb cleaner to my older tractor? I have an MF 35 gasoline engine I just bought. Thought maybe it would not hurt to add cleaner to gas to clean carb, deposits on valves, etc. If ok, any certain brand work best? Thanks

I use Berryman B-9 Chemtool. It's sold at TSC and works real well and is fairly inexpensive. Gas engines are gas engines and I'd suspect that they all tolerate carb cleaners. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Lots of folks here on TBN, including me, have used Sea Foam on carbureted engines to clean them out a bit. It worked on my old Gravely to make it run more smoothly after being first started.
