I have just noticed some scratches on the lower part of the seat back. The coveralls that I wear in snow don't have such rivets. Thus my recent work wearing bibs must be the cause. The bibs have rivets in the back pockets and where the tool loops are attached. Although the rivets are rounded they still can marr the cover but not cut through it....yet.
When using the FEL and the BB moving dirt and rock one is twisting and turning in the seat quite a bit. And that seat belt really ties your butt into the seat creating a tight interface for the scratching. Take care.

I'm a huge fan of Carhartt clothing. I own 3 pair of their bibbs and they get very little wear while having to sit due to the rivits. They're very uncomfortable to my bottom. I wear them while running my trimmer or chainsaw but that's about it. I have several pair of Carhartt jeans also but prefer Levi 527's over the Carhartt's for comfort. You can't beat Carhartt jackets, insulated pants, gloves, caps and shirts though. My closet is full of them!
