Try saying that quickly three times! Anyhow, while mowing yesterday, my roller came off. The mounting bracket bolts on the right side came off (or sheared). I noticed it pretty soon after it happened. There appears to be some damage to the bushing inside the left end of the roller. I could not get the left end of the roller reconnected. I believe dragging the roller, still connected to the left side, caused some deformation.

This repair is above my pay grade - for sure - so, I will need some assistance getting this fixed. Any suggestions where to take it? Mechanic? Machine Shop?

Machine shop. Can you tell if the roller or the shaft mount for the roller are bent? If you can't get a puller behind that bushing to pull it out it will have to be cut out by a shop with a long enough lathe or a horizontal boring mill. If everything looks straight and the shaft itself is not damaged and you can pull the bushing then a mechanic could pull it for you. Finding the right size bushing on that metric unit might be a problem and it would have to be made by a machine shop. Hard to tell by the photos the extent of the damage but odds are a mechanic would end up taking it to a machine shop anyways.

Thank you. There is a soft metal collar around the bushing at the end of the roller - perhaps aluminum. This is the only area that appears to be affected. The bushing had some play in it and I could pry and bend the collar with my screwdriver as i attempted to line-up the bushing for reassembly. None of the iron components are bent. I will take it to a machine shop.

If the bushing is loose then you should be able to get it out. The collar around it may be a retainer or some sort of seal. Did Caroni supply a parts book with that? If so you should have a drawing to hopefully go by. You should probably check with Agri-supply to see if they stock the bushing and retainer or seal before taking it anywhere. If it looks like nothing else is bent or damaged then it might not be that big of a deal to replace it yourself. It would be just a matter of prying what is probably a damaged seal out and replacing with new bushing and seal.
