1825E Massey Ferguson
Hello everybody. I'm trying to decide which rotary tiller to buy for my 1825E Massey Ferguson. After going back and forth I end-up looking at the Caroni tillovators with clutch. I was looking at the.. 32in. 36in. 48in. and the 56in. and they all require between 15 to 40 HP at the PTO which is perfect for my tractor that has only 19.2 HP at PTO. I was wondering if any body has negative or positive opinions about the Caroni implements. They're also reasonably priced. Thank you kindly.

no idea on that particular brand but my GC2400 (22.5 eng hp) has a touch under 19 hp (18.7) pto and I use a woods 48.30 (4 ft (48 inch) with a 3 inch offset to the right, once used to it you may love that) and the tractor handles it just fine.
so...just some possibly useless data you can use.

edit 10-31-24 @ 0830: re slip clutch adjust on woods. I check it yearly, only time I had to adjust since bought approx 4-2021 was when storing for season approx 11-2021. check yearly, no adjust ever needed and it does work as designed. only issue I have ever had is (during first few months of use 2021) tine bolt (140 ft lbs) torque, supposed to check every 10 implement hours but I am now going every 20 implement hours. and depending on tractor used the side gearbox vent hole (built into fill plug) MAY need to be rotated a few degrees. but thats tractor/hitch angle dependent. takes 3 minutes to adjust.

I have used a Caroni 48" tiller pulled by a GC2400 for ~10 years. The combo is VERY efficient with one exception. The overrun clutch needs annual adjustment now after busting several tree roots after breaking new ground 4 years ago. Other than the clutch wear the Caroni shows no wear at all.
