Flail Mower Caroni tm 1900 owners Summer is closing how did you like the flail

Islandtractor you especially always have words of invaluable wisdom. Did the Caroni tm 1900 hold up to your expectations. Can it take a good bit of abuse with hammer knives staying sharp/functioning.

On Saturday I mowed about 5 acres grass,3/4 acre of tall wetland grasses, and about 2 miles of the edges of my trails on my property to whack alot of the greenbriar that was starting to encroach on the trails. I hit a few chunks of wood from time to time(old tree tops up to 2"). I checked the hammers after this and saw nothing out of the ordinary.I also lowered the mower to the lowest setting now that the grass is growing quickly again. I am happy.

Thanks Marty. I'm sure that Caroni flail will be in the barn by Spring 2008. Keep me posted if you run into any situations that I should avoid. Bill

Summer may be officially over but I will be mowing until January. Have to stop then to allow the wild flowers and dewberries to grow. Won't start mowing again until late May.

I just finished installing the shift kit on my TM1900 and will report on how it goes from here. We have a big remodeling project going on and I am allowing the crew to use the tractor to move materials and load the dumpster with trash. They are having too much fun!
