Washed the tractor for the first time (our first time) and sprayed around engine, etc...

After about a 30 minute drive from carwash to property, when we tried to crank it up, it seemed to struggle. White smoke (don't think it was steam) came out at first and after several attempts to get it to start, it finally did and then puffed black smoke (little darker than normal) like a normal startup.

Is this something to monitor? I didn't powerwash it too closely so as not to mess any electrical components or radiator up.

Any ideas?

I'm betting it will start normally next time. Could have been something as simple water getting into the air cleaner.

Don't know whether your injection system is mechanical or electronic, but perhaps if its electronic, you may have some moisture in whatever type of control module is in there.

If you keep getting white smoke, I'd be watching for things..like whether your water level was going down. Probably fine though.

I always have mine running when I get it a rinse off. But I stay away from the exhaust stack.
