Good day all. I have a case 380B industrial tractor with loader. To the left of the steering wheel there is a forward/reverse selector. When the shift it to reverse and let the clutch out, the machine moves immediately, when I shift back to forward, there is a significant delay before the machine moves forward. Cold weather makes it worse, up to 5-6 seconds, warm weather 2 seconds. I simply shove the clutch back in and wait.....I don't like to leave the clutch out and simply wait until it moves as I don't want to burn the clutch out. The clutch once engaged is strong and will pull hard so it is not slipping. I was told that the reverse mech is spring loaded but forward is hydraulic. I have replaced the filter, hydraulic pump and all the fluid I could drain.
has anyone else had this issue with this tractor?? Looks a lot like a IH 485.
Thanks in advance.
