Hey I'm new to the forums,
I have owned my case 385 for about 3 years now. It is a 1988, came from a nysdot auction which I bought it from. Before the state acquired it I believe it was used by the military judging by the barcode stickers and decals left on it. My question is according to the repair work orders when the state owned it that the fuel sender is good but the gauge is not. The gauge has necer worked since I have owned it. I would like to know how to test both before I go out and buy the "supposidly" bad fuel gauge that is priced at $179.00 from the dealer. Also is there poasibly a aftermarket gauge I could use or even a website to buy a oem gauge for cheaper. Only issue I've ran into was I can't find a fuel gauge online anywhere for it beside the case ih parts website.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
