I have a Case 450 Dozer. I bought the Dozer and it ran great with no issues. I let my dad borrow the Dozer. He took the Dozer off and parked it where he was going to use it. The problem is, he parked it near the residence of a man my dad fired weeks earlier. This was very ignorant of him. Once I found out where my Dozer was, I went and got it.

I got it home and it would run for about 5 minutes and shut off. I noticed red dirt in the glass fuel bowl. So I drained the tank and purged it out with a water hose. I removed parts of grass, dirt, fishing lures and one small piece of plastic. I then removed the fuel line and blew them out with compressed air. The Dozer will still not run but for a few minutes or less. I'm at a loss what to do next.

Thanks in advance!

Did you replace the fuel filters also..?? Hopefully, the Primary filter caught it all.

I did do that, replaced both. Do I need to replace them after I drained the tank?

No telling how long it will take to clean out all the residue unless you have a way to flush everything.

There could be a in-tank mesh screen that is restricting flow.

If you are getting good flow then the screen should be ok...

I had a dozer that was giving me fits... I would reverse blow out the line and ended up changing the filters several times.

Where the fuel line goes "into" the injection pump, there's a SMALL screen in there. Take it out and clean it...that may help....

If the inlet screen is clean at the pump try this quick check, take loose the two timing cover on injection pump side. If it runs without shutting down and power is OK the return fuel side may be plugged with pump weight retainer bits, they fill usually plug the return check valve in the cover first. The fuel leak at the cover is a good test to see if the pump needs repair. DON'T remove the return valve and think all is well, or you will have much more damage soon than you have now. Just returned a John Deere pump that needed repair for the same trouble..
