Case 480B Hydraulic Filter

Hello everyone , just bought an old Case 480B (craigslist special) for use around the property. I am in the process of giving it some TLC and ran into a problem. I wanted to change the hydraulic filter and pulled off the canister right in front of the loader controls and found no filter at all. Does anyone know what part number (Wix, Fram or other I can cross reference) fits in that canister? The other weird thing is the canister on mine faces or hangs down, in the manual, it is shown to face up...does it matter?

BTW, I cant read the serial number on the plate but this tractor has the primary and secondary fuel filters so I believe it is After Engine Ser# 2718490

Hi Keith, I'm currently looking at a 480B cl special myself for around the house. Long shot if you answer, but how did that unit work out for you? Any major issues? Thanks for posting the filter numbers in case I need them. I will do the same thing you are doing, give it a little tlc so it will return the favor lol
