I am rebuilding a 580K shuttle shift that had a broken Belview spring in the forward clutch. Got a kit and when putting it back together it shows a snap ring installed on both sides of the clutch pack. Question is the belview spring supposed to sit on the snap ring? When I put the clutch actuator together with the pack I have to press it slightly to get the snap ring in that hold the clutch actuator in and I am sure it is loading the belview spring against the snap ring that is on the clutch pack. Anyone have experience with Case shuttle shift that can help me?
