case 680ck backhoe 1970 diesel

I have this Case 680 ck backhoe I bought and it runs and moves but doesnt have much power. It barely idles and looks like theres a diesel fuel mist coming out the muffler when I rev it up. Is there a way to check compression on this diesel engine. Im thinking it could have a weak cylinder or maybe a stuck injector. Has anyone else had this problem. Thanks

I've never had the problem myself, but sounds a lot like I've heard described, of the fuel return line being plugged. Maybe someone else will jump in here, that has had that problem, and help.

That would be nice. I just drove it around and when its warmed up im getting smoke out the breather case tube. This looks like it could be rings with that blowby.
