Posting for my neighbor:
He has a 2006 Case D40 with 1800hrs, 4wd, 4 speed gear with 3 ranges
uses a back hoe, front end loader etc, and puts it through some hard work making roads, digging ditches, skidding logs etc
Recently it developed a problem, and I told him I would post on here for some suggestions/ideas before getting gouged at the Stealer'ship
when going from a dead stop to a start, it feels like there is a loose wheel. there is a metallic thud noise that seems to come from under the seat area, and it makes no difference whether it is forward or reverse, 2wd or 4wd
will be going over later to see if i can record an audio clip to post for further info
**update went to try to capture the sound, and we couldnt hear it ***
any help is greatly appreciated
thanks in advance
